Holiday Centre for the Elderly

Cheung Muk Tau Holiday Centre located in the picturesque Sai Kung and Ma On Shan District, the Centre is the only purpose built resort centre for all senior citizens ,the facilities and activities inside are especially suitable for elderly and caregivers.

Apart from the elderly care groups, the center is open to those who are 55 years of age or older and can bring their family members to share the joy of family life. The center is also open to people with disabilities.

The Day Care Centre provides quality day care services for frail elderly, connecting them and their families with the community, and assisting the elderly to continue living in the community to achieve the goal of 'Ageing in Place'.

With support such as transportation, meals and other personal care services, the day care unit can relieve much of the caregiver's stress.

The unit will maintain close communication with the family and provide the necessary support, professional counselling and caregiving skills, and make appropriate referrals as needed.

The service can be provided for four days or more or less than four days a week to provide more flexibility for families. In addition, we also provide respite services, so that carers with urgent needs may apply for short-term or intermittent services without going through the Standardised Care Need Assessment Mechanism for Elderly Services (SCNAMES).

Our homes will make full use of the occasional vacant places to provide short term residential care services, with a view to extending support to families in need in the district.

Housing for the Elderly will also consider the special family circumstances of the applicants and grant emergency admission to individual elderly .
