Helping Hand Pioneers

Aged 21 or above

To donate/raise at least HK$2,000 per year

Serving the elderly or assisting Helping Hand at least 40 hours per year

 

Helping Hand Young Pioneers

Aged 16-21, or students aged 21 or above
To donate/raise at least HK$1,000 per year
Serving the elderly or assisting Helping Hand at least 30 hours per year

 

Helping Hand Junior Pioneers

Aged 15 or below
To donate/raise at least HK$500 per year
Serving the elderly or assisting Helping Hand at least 16 hours per year

 

The Responsibilities of Helping Hand Pioneers:

1) Caring for the Helping Hand and the elderly around you
E.g. visiting our elderly residents, paying concern to the elderly actively and visiting the elderly living alone in the community.
2) To donate or organise fund-raising activities to support our elderly residents
E.g. to donate or organise funding activities, encouraging families and  friends to make donations instead of birthday gifts or mooncakes, motivating classmates to donate New Year's red packets or pocket money and inviting friends to sponsor for the long-distance running.
3) Participation in Volunteer Service
Participating in our voluntary work with a systematic and targeted manner to have an actual work experience of elderly services. 
4) Assisting in spreading the message of caring for the elderly
To spread the message of caring for the elderly to your friends or on social media

The Right of Helping Hand Pioneers:

1) The priority to participate in specific volunteer programmes/training
2) The opportunity to be nominated for other volunteer awards
3) Receiving a free two-day-and-one-night family camp at our Cheung Muk Tau Holiday Centre for 1 elderly with up to 2 family members or friends at a total of HK$504
4) A certificate with recommendation letter will be issued after achieving the target
